Find Your Chain Length
Not sure which length to pick? Start with 60cm (24"): it sits just below the collarbone on most men and is our most popular length. Use the chart below to see where each length sits.
Where each length sits
| Length | Where it sits | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 45cm (18") | High, at the base of the neck | Slim builds, a close minimal look |
| 50cm (20") | Just above the collarbone | Under a crew-neck tee |
| 55cm (22") | On the collarbone | Open-collar shirts |
| 60cm (24") | Just below the collarbone | Most men; the safest choice for a pendant |
| 70cm (27") | Mid-chest | Layering, or a bolder pendant drop |
Where a chain sits depends on your neck and chest size, so treat this as a guide. A pendant pulls the chain into a V and sits about 2–3cm lower.
Match the length to your build
| Your build | Neck size | Try |
|---|---|---|
| Slim | Under 38cm | 45–55cm |
| Average | 38–43cm | 55–60cm |
| Broad | Over 43cm | 60–70cm |
How to measure at home
- Wrap a piece of string around your neck where you want the chain to sit.
- Mark where it meets, then lay it flat and measure it with a ruler or tape.
- Wearing a pendant? Add about 5cm, because the pendant pulls the chain down.
- Between two lengths? Choose the longer one.
Chain styles
- Box chain: square links, smooth and minimal. Lets the pendant do the talking.
- Figaro chain: three short links then one long. Classic, with more texture.
- Cuban chain: flat, interlocking curb links. The boldest look.
- Blade and link chains: slim everyday chains that suit layering.
Layering two chains
Leave at least 5cm between chains so they don't tangle, for example 55cm with 60cm, or 60cm with 70cm. Keep both the same finish for a clean look.
